Dr. Alejandra Blanco is a Research Associate at Johns Hopkins University, where she oversees data collection, analysis, and interpretation to support the development and validation of machine learning models. Her work focuses on curating and refining patient cohorts to advance research in the early detection of pancreatic cancer using abdominal CT imaging. Originally from Cochabamba, Bolivia, she joined Johns Hopkins as a postdoctoral research fellow before transitioning to her current role. She earned her medical degree from Universidad Privada del Valle and has clinical experience in patient care and surgery. Outside of her professional work, Dr. Blanco is passionate about gardening, interior design, art, and reading. A naturally curious individual, she enjoys learning about different industries and exploring ways management and healthcare consulting can foster innovation and impact global healthcare systems.
